I've moved and misplaced my software. I had 6.0 and 7.0, but lost them both. Can I buy another 7.0? This is the best software ever. The kids and I use it for projects at home and school.

This is a very requested application, but I don't think you can install it again since there is no other source available for the process. Other fellow users requested info regarding the availability of Announcements as well.
Is there a program available similar to Announcements that will work on Windows 7, 8 or 10?

Yes, there are plenty applications that can be considered alternatives to Announcements. Based on its official description, Announcements was an application that allowed you to create greeting cards. The program isn't developed anymore and sold to Broderbund. They've released other applications that can be used instead of Announcements. The new software is called The Print Shop Deluxe and it's a powerful application that allows you to work with graphic resources to create greeting cards, texts, fancy drawings, etc.
The program's origin is unknown, therefore it's impossible to say if there is a version of Announcements for Windows 10. I have searched all the website, but couldn't find anything about it. Most likely, the program is not compatible with Windows 10, but if you have the setup package, right click it and go to Properties > Compatibility. Choose another Windows version from the list and then launch the installation. This is the only way when there is not enough information about the product.
Is there an upgrade for Parsons Technology Announcements? I have been using version 6.0 without any problems on Windows XP Service Pack 3. However, a couple of months ago, I was no longer able to start the program. It would hang and I would get a message that the 16 bit subsystem was unstable and had to close, or something similar to that. I tried installing it on another machine running the same OS and it works just fine. However, that is not the computer I use all the time. I purchased the Photo Shop Suite because it said it could import projects from other applications, however, even though they both use the same card extension .car, I cannot import. I would much rather use Announcements, as I could do so much with it. Is there a fix for the program? Even if I could export my projects to a format that Photo Shop could open, it would be helpful. Any and all suggestions would be helpful.

There is no fix to the application since it was discontinued. The best thing to do is to take advantage of the compatibility features of Windows XP. Make sure to have installed all the runtime libraries needed by the application. OCX files need also to be there. If you install Visual Basic 6 Runtime, everything should be fine.
I have the Announcements 6.0 and I cannot install it in my new Windows 8. What is the problem?

The software was designed for Windows 3.1 and Windows 95. The latest operating system where this application is compatible with is Windows Vista. Anything higher than Windows Vista will cause compatibility problems. You can try to set the compatibility in Windows Vista and run the setup application. Alternatively, run the setup and let it crash, then Windows will offer compatibility options so you can run the program.
This is the latest version released. Since the application was discontinued and the developer's website doesn't exist anymore, it's hard to say if the version 7 is available or ever will be for Vista and 7.
Is there a patch to make this 16 bit program work properly with Windows XP? If it is, could you please let me know? I have used this program with all versions since 98 but XP won't run it properly. It opens but nothing works correctly.

The best thing to do when you encounter problem with 16bit issues is to use a compatibility mode. However, Windows XP is not optimized perfectly to handle compatibility so good. Try to set the compatibility to Windows 98/95. This is the single possible solution to this matter.
I have purchased two different copies of Hebrew Tutor. The most recent, copyright 2005, can not be downloaded on Windows 7. Do you have a version of Hebrew Tutor that can be used with Windows 7?

Stephen Prastman
I have searched the web and couldn't find anything related about Hebrew Tutor, but if it lacks Windows 7 compatibility, then I recommend applying some tweaks. Right click the setup or the executable file and select Properties > Compatibility. Choose Windows XP from the list and tick the Run as Administrator option.
Launch the software and continue with the installation. Additionally, use the information you already have about the application and contact the seller/developers. They should provide additional details about the program's compatibility with different versions of Windows OS.
Where can I get the application to reinstall Announcements 7.0 on my Windows XP?

The Announcements 7.0 application isn't available anymore. The software is discontinued. I have checked and none of the websites offers the product as being available (Parsons or Broderbund). You will have to use something else, because this software is discontinued.
